Knút's 2nd album The Desert Holds A Flower (Tutl Records) is out now. The album is available on CD and 180 gr double vinyl.
Knút sings, plays instruments & writes songs. Knút (full name; Knút Háberg Eysturstein) is a native of the Faroe Islands & is currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The recordings for the album began in May 2008 when Knút gathered 3 of his trusted friends, colleagues & bandmates at Lundgaard Studios, DK, where the fourpiece spent 10 explosive days making recorded sound & music. The band on the album consists of:
Bogi á Lakjuni: producer, guitar hero, overdub engineer
Jens Ladekarl Thomsen: mixer, bass man, Lundgaard engineer
Høgni Lisberg: drums, percussion, 2nd opinion
Knút Háberg Eysturstein: vocal, guitar, keys
Based on songs & ideas by Knút, the band has found a sound of its own, though heavily indepted to the 70's and all things psychedelic. In spirit, that is. What once was friction is to become ignition. Going way back, fast forward.
